About me:

My love for macrame bags started with flamingos. When my daughter was born, I began to be fascinated by the extraordinary parental qualities of these birds. Although it was a little strange to see the parents feeding their chicks with bird's milk, which is the closest thing to the color of blood, this is exactly why I was drawn to it as a new parent. In this new role and for me, it became a symbol: parents giving their blood for their child.

My little daughter was already one year old when I came up with the idea of making myself a macrame bag. Why macrame? Because it was the only craft I remembered from my childhood technology classes that I was good at. Although I remembered almost nothing, I quickly watched a few videos on basic knots and then planned what kind of bag I wanted to make. I don't know exactly how, maybe while watching the videos I came across a flamingo ornament that I really liked, so I definitely wanted to decorate my bag with it. I still enjoy making this flamingo to this day, so of course it is in the assortment.

My first bag didn't turn out very nice, and I now know that I didn't even choose the right material, so it was terribly difficult. However, while making it, learning from my mistakes, new ideas came to me, so I started again and again, and again... At first, I only used the basic knots to make the bags, I was really afraid of patterns, they simply seemed so complicated. Then I started trying to create patterns based on one or two pictures. It would have been easier to work based on videos, but that's how I'm wired, for some reason the more complicated ones are logical for me. So I created my first patterned bag, and after that, my ideas were endless. I found more and more beautiful patterns and more and more bag ideas started to emerge in my head. Unfortunately, much more than I had time for with my two-year-old daughter.

Then I came across another flamingo video, which said that mother flamingos are paler, they lose their color while feeding their chicks, and then regain it later. Of course, it had a motivating effect on me, when I was just a shadow of my old self. As time allowed, I continued to make the bags I had dreamed of until they were perfect. In the meantime, I realized that a lot depends on the right yarn, so in the end I voted for 3mm thick polyester yarn, I like working with it. Another fear I had was the lining of the bags, not having any sewing skills, in the end it is true that I learned to sew lining, but I realized that a bag organizer makes making the bag a lot easier.

Making macrame bags became a true love for me, so the idea of the webshop came, at the urging of my husband, who always persistently supports me even in situations when I would give up. There was no question that the flamingo would be my logo, as it is a significant motif in both my life and my business. Later, I read that the flamingo symbol represents the heart and emotions. And the graceful appearance of the flamingo radiates strength. As it stands on one leg, it symbolizes balance, it is a symbol of joy and fun. So it was not a bad choice. In addition, I think it can be said that with its pink color, it is one of the most feminine symbols, which fits perfectly into bag fashion. Allow me to share with you the joy of creation or even the result through the flamingo.
